about

This instrumental came from a semi-structured improvisation, and is maybe the clearest example of the original concept behind the album as a whole.
When the idea was proposed of making a 5th album, immediately following the marathon of recording that produced the previous few albums, rather than takinga break from recording, or shif gears into finding full-time additional band members, Patrick proposed doing a "quick and immediate" kind of record, with a raw energy, and drive, in the Stooges "Funhouse"/ Sonics style.
Well....
Obviously things didn't go EXACTLY in that direction, but this song does still take a direction similar to that original plan.
