The strongest stars have hearts of Kyber!
The Force is with me, and I am with The Force,
and I fear nothing, for all is as The Force wills it.
There are no Jedi here, only dreamers, like this fool!
about
Continuing in the tradition of the previous Nemo albums, this album was inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and the entire growing Star Wars franchise as a whole.
This album continues to expand some of the stylistic sounds and approaches to the sound and music, as compared with previous albums, but still retains the overall Nemo sound collage atmosphere and feel.
If you're new to Nemo's sound collages, each track is assembled using a combination of analog multitrack tape machines, with vintage analog and some digital sound processing equipment.
- no other computer programs, plugins, or digital editing systems were used.
Instead, all of the layering, assembling, and editing is done more "by hand".
The final steps of mixing and mastering are done on a standalone 24 bit digital multitrack, bringing the recordings back into the digital realm (where some of the sources originated).
This may seem academic especially to those less familiar with audio recording, and might even appear to be unnecessarily difficult, especially given the digital technological tools for recording, available in the modern day - but the process and some of the limitations have consistently inspired some of the "solutions", which have resulted in the sound collages Nemo has made and released.
In more simple terms, setting certain limitations, can motivate the creative process
Enjoyment in the process of creation, as well in listening to the results, are ultimately the purpose here, so please do enjoy....

If you enjoyed this track, you might enjoy checking out some of Nemo's previous sound collage albums. The two Star Wars-themed collage albums are:
- the original Star Wars sound collage from 2010, "You See The Echo" - a twin set of albums, both with their own individual feel,
- and "Wakens After Echo", Nemo's album from 2016, inspired by The Force Awakens.
Those, and more from the past, and more coming soon....

Formed in the beginning of 2001, Wide-Eyed is Tina Lambright and Patrick Pyne. Despite being a duo, they rotated instruments
for recordings to make full, band-oriented songs of varying sounds and styles. Their music can be generally described as experimental pop, or psychedelic rock, but avoiding cliches of any genre. Serious, funny, abstract or direct, despite the dressing, enjoyment is the focus...more
