about

Originally the second track on LUCK.
Following the higher energy of Jetstream, Thud intentionally presented the other end of the songwriting spectrum, by putting right up front, Wide-Eyed's softer, and arguably most sentimental song of their entire catalog.

Based off a true story of a kitten who survived a fall from a bridge, and was subsequently called "Thud" (of course).

This song was the second song on LUCK, and the second song written by Tina, and ironically, one of the last ones to be completed.
The lyrics were the original source of the band name (written by Tina, suggested by Patrick).

Serious, funny, abstract or direct, despite the dressing, enjoyment is the focus ... more
